BQ40Z50-R2: DISP pin internal circuitry

Part Number: BQ40Z50-R2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCA9536

Tool/software:

Hello!

I am looking for more information on how the DISP pin of the BQ40Z50-R2 works. Is it a simple active low, internally pulled-up input? If so, what is the pull-up resistance?

In the EVM and reference designs I can find, the DISP pin is shorted to ground using a button. My goal is to use an I/O expander IC, such as the TCA9536, to drive the DISP pin instead of using a push-button.  To save space, I would like to drive the DISP pin directly from the TCA9536, without the need for an intermediate MOSFET.

Thanks,

Andy
