TPS552882-Q1: SW1 short to SUPPLY question

Hi Team,

From TPS552882-Q1 FuSa document, the IC internal boost MOSFETs will have potential damaged if SW1 short to SUPPLY. We would like to check the mechanism for the damage. May you help take an example for it? Thank you.

Hi Roy,

The straight damage example is over-voltage stress on Boost side MOSFETs, as the abs max voltage rating for Boost side FETs is 25V, if the battery voltage increases up to 36V, when device start switching, the Boost side MOSFETs will get damaged.
