Hi team,

Here is FAE Chris, My customer Emdoor used BQ27427 in the AI glasses project and encountered the following problems. Hope you can give some suggestions.

Background: customer is using the Android platform, using a very similar CHEM-ID 3904, and has updated the QMax and Ra tables.

Questions:

1, When performing a discharge test at room temperature, it was found that the power suddenly jumped from 11% to 1%.

2, After restarting the machine, the displayed voltage value and the actual battery voltage are very different.

Since this is the first time for the customer to use our product, and since all current tests are performed on the customer's entire machine, not on the EVM board, are there any documents that can guide the customer on how to capture the BQStudio log and gm.fs file on the entire system?

Please provide the complete history how the configuration for the bq27427 was developed for this project.

* How was the ChemID determined?
* The bq27427 doesn't have ChemID 7983 built in. How did this impact the configuration for this project?
* Is the bq27427 permanently connected to the cell or is this an application with a removable battery?
* When does the host uC reset the gauge?
* When does the host uC program the gauge configuration?
* What exactly does the host uC program for configuration?
* Are they configuring this correctly for battery detection?

The customer is currently using a similar ID approach, producing two projects, and the current parameters are as follows. I am also working with the customer to log the customer when the whole machine is out of order. You can give some advice about the whole machine log scraping

The bq27427 only supports three built in ChemIDs:

I'm not sure how your customer changed to ID7912 and ID3904. Did they get a custom ChemID file from TI?

it is a bad news...Because the customer is currently using ID7912 and ID3904 for mass production, do we need the customer to stop production and re-develop using the right IDs? Based on the customer's current design, would we directly help the customer solve the problem?

We'd have to at least go provide a proper configuration.

Please email me all settings as requested in the Quick Start Guide https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/sluubn3 (same gauge but with external sense resistor) and I'll generate a configuration with ID7912 and ID3904.
