UCC21551: PSPICE FOR TI SIMULATION - can't get circuits to converge

Hi, 

Looking to simulate 2x of the UCC21551 in H-bridge configuration to drive a solenoid using IGBTs. I'm using the built-in IGBT model in PSPICE for TI, but having convergence issues on all diodes and IGBTs. Please see simulation files attached and circuits. 

Any advice on how to get these to converge? I already reduced currents tolerance to 1uA, and reltol to 0.01. Do I need to define an IGBT model from an external manufacturer, or can I use the builtin model?

    Hi Aquiles,

    PSPICE has a problem will all of these silicon devices at once.

    Can you replace the 4 diodes with voltage controlled switches that are self-connected?

    Also, it would be much easier to simulate the IGBTs as voltage controlled switches as well. If you want to test gate drive strength, you should use a separate simulation with only one gate driver and one IGBT alone.
