In the case where Vs pin is directly wired to vin withoud Rvs and Zener diode, is this diode between VA and VS is necessary?
My application is to improve the surge protection of TDK-AMBDA module which has an output clamp of 47Vcc max. It is a little bit high for my DC/DC so I add a surge protection after the TDK module to clamp output at 37Vcc instead of 47Vcc. Input of my LM74930 IC is so 47Vcc max. Could you confirme that I don't need Rvs+Zener diode AND I can directly wire VS of LM7930 to the output of TDK module. Please find SCH below.
