TPS63060: Design Question: Vin = 3.3V, Vout =3.3V

I would like to check if TPS63060 is a good fit for my design.

Vin = 3.3V +/-5%

Vout = 3.3V

current ~ 1A

What is the efficiency for this case?

Does it have large ripple for this condition?

Hi Yu-Ting,

TPS63060 should not be a good option for this case.

Instead, would like to recommend TPS631000/TPS631010/TPS631011. Efficiency in this case is 92% or higher.

For ripple, let me know if switching spikes is considered or not?

Hi Tao,

Thanks for the response. Two questions:

1. Is TPS63060 not a good option because of bad efficiency of this application?

2. The difference between TPS63100 and TPS631010/11 is just pacakge size? Switching spike is not considered.

BTW, I am looking for the fab location (CCO) info for TPS63060 but cannot find it. Could you please also check it for me?

Hi Yu-Ting,

I think both TPS63060 and TPS63802 are little overkilled for your case.

Yes, only difference between TPS63100 and TPS631011 is package.

Fab for TPS63060 are based on Freising Germany.
