UCC28070: MOSFET Failure at 2.6 kW Load in 4 kW PFC Design

Part Number: UCC28070

Tool/software:

Hello,

I am developing a 4 kW power factor correction (PFC) circuit using the UCC28070 controller.
The design was based on the UCC28070_Design_Tool provided by TI.

At no load, the output voltage was stable at 382 V.
However, when a 2.6 kW resistive load was applied, one of the MOSFETs (IPP60R016CM8) rapidly overheated and failed (exploded).

I repeated the test on two different boards, and in both cases, only one FET failed, while all other components remained intact.

I would appreciate any insight into what might be causing this issue.

Thank you.
