Hi,

I am looking for a power step-down solution for:

Input Voltage can be either fixed 5V or range from 8-18V.

Output current 1A

Output voltage range from 0.1 to 2.5V. Meaning that I require some means of remotely setting 3 or 4 output voltages, such as 0.1, 0.5, 1, 2.5V.

This remote switching could be, for example, switching in addition set resistors, digital control over I2C, etc.

Low noise (ripple and EMI).

Low loss , under 1W total.

Looking for suggestions.

Hello David,

Based on the requirements i believe the output voltage range is the limiting factor. I2C capable components such as TPS62868 could be a possible fit but its output voltage limited to voltage ranges depending on the OTP used. I believe feedback adjustable device such as LMR60410 is almost a good fit due to its high efficiency and low EMI, but its output voltage is limited to 1V min. Feedback adjustable devices would require a mechanism to switching resistors.
