My customer is considering TPS3424 and has questions.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

I think that the TPS3424A11C13ADRLR has a specification where the RESET output is latched.

①Is it correct that if the KILL input is fixed to GND, the RESET pulse can be used as a fixed total of 550.3 msec, which is tSINT (=50 msec) + tKILL (=500 msec) + tPD(KILL) (=0.3 msec)?

(Since there is no non-latched variation yet, we are considering using it in this way.)

②To set the short press duration to 100 msec, is it correct to understand that the capacitor connected to the SPT pin is 239 pF?

(We plan to approximate it by connecting 220 pF and 20 pF in parallel.)

Hi Shinichi,

For the first question, it is correct that if KILL is pulled to GND, the RESET pulse will be that fixed total. For the second question, the capacitor value I calculated was 237pF, but the same approximation of 240pF will have the intended effect.
