TL432: minimum cathode current requirement

Tool/software:

I am using TL432AID in a new application to control the gate of PMOS based on Ref pin voltage & request your support on minimum cathode current requirement. I see that datasheet states 1mA as minimum cathode current required.

Please confirm if my understanding is correct. If yes, I need to low the 100k resistor to few k ohms to guarantee 1mA current. This is undesirable for me.
