TPS61299-Q1: How to calculate efficiency of TPS61299-Q1

Part Number: TPS61299-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61099

Tool/software:

Hello,

How can I calculate the efficiency of the TPS61299-Q1 boost converter? None of the efficiency graphs in Section 5.6 of the datasheet show my particular VIN/VOUT/current conditions.

In Section 6.3.4 of the February 2024 version of the TPS61299-Q1 datasheet (SLVSHJ8), there is a sentence that says "Refer to to calculate the efficiency." It appears that this sentence was meant to refer to an equation, but the reference is missing and the equation is missing.

While we're here: Figure 5-2 in the datasheet is mistitled. It's titled "5.0V VOUT Efficiency with Different Inputs Under Normal Mode". That's the same title as Figure 5-1, but the two figures show different data. Figure 5-2 should probably be titled "5.0V VOUT Load Regulation Under Normal Mode".

Thank you,
Will
