TPS22950: Smart Pulldown (with TPS22950C)

Part Number: TPS22950

Tool/software:

Hi experts,

according to datasheet:

"The switch ON state is controlled by a digital input that is capable of interfacing directly with low-voltage control signals. When power is first applied, a smart pulldown is used to keep the ON pin from floating until system sequencing is complete. After the pin is deliberately driven high (>VIH), the smart pulldown is disconnected to prevent unnecessary power loss."

All this is clear, but what is unclear is whether this function (Smart Pulldown) is activated again after the EN pin is switched, for example, high-impedance (HiZ). We prefer to keep the pin under control. If the function does not work, we need to implement a pulldown resistor.

My question is: Is the smart pull-down function active again after the EN pin state is switched from “HIGH” to a different state?

Thanks and best regards,

Michael
