Im planning to use LM5050-1 for my redundant dual Power supply

1. PS-1 =24V, 25Amps
2. PS-2 =50V, 25Amps.

Can you please suggest the MOSFET which can operate @ 15Amps.

Thanks for selecting LM5050-1.

A 75V rated MOSFET which has power dissipation of <1.5W at max load should be okay.

In the LM5050-1 EVM is see the part SUM40N10-30-E3 used. @ 15A the power dissipation is 6.75W for this device.

you had suggested <1.5W. please clarify

Hi Bosco,

For a better design, I would recommend you keep the FET power dissipation under 1.5W.

For 15A load, the chosen FET (SiR870DP) is fine.
