TPS923652: Burn out failures

Part Number: TPS923652

Tool/software:

Hi,

My customer has been using the TPS923652 to drive UV LEDs, and is experiencing failures.

Under no load, they are seeing the device get hot and eventually burn out or experiencing an overvoltage event.

The OVP resistive divider is set to 57V. Could the inductor’s ripple current cause the device exceed 60V despite our 57V intended limit? Or is there a tolerance or overshoot for this OVP protection if used in no-load conditions?
