Hi Team,

We need two outputs DCDC converter below is our specs.

Input - 38-60V

Output - 3.3V@3.5A & 5V@1A.

Can we add transformer which will act inductor for 3.3V & another tapping for 5V for LMR51635YFDDCR.

OR do you have another solution for above specs.

In case you have another solution with DCDC IC kindly mentioned the same.

or you can suggest two IC's with low cost solution.

We need to drive PMIC of AM62P from 3.3V supply & 5V for CAN & RS485 driver.

Hi Ashutosh,

You have a correct idea, but the LM51635 is limited regarding the peak current limit if you are going to use a flybuck converter.

You would need a device with a higher current limit, please examine the LM65645 with a transformer if you plan to use a flybuck (FPWM is necessary). If not, you can also go for two separate buck converters.

Thanks for the feedback! I will review LM65645 with my team internally.

But can you please suggest two separate buck converter logic as well with low-cost design. we will look that options as well.

Hi Richard,

Thank you! one more question? can we take LMR51635 as main PS & its 5V output can be used for another Buck which will generate 3.3V out.

this will be easy for the PS design instead both will have 60V input. so can you please suggest 3.3V buck which can support more than ~3A current capacity.

Input - 4-6V max

Out - 3.3V or adjutable @3A current.

HI Ashutosh,

Yes, you can use the LMR51635 as the main PS, and then step it down via another buck i.e. LMR51635. I recommend using the same frequency.
