Hi TI Team,

We are currently evaluating UCC23514M (1-channel isolated gate driver with Miller Clamp function).
I would like to ask whether TI has any 2-channel gate driver with the same Miller Clamp feature in the product lineup.

If not available at the moment, could you please let us know if there are any future release plans for such a device?

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,

Conor

  • Hi Conor,

Indeed we do have a device in development that will be called UCC21620. The current schedule is a release to market in 1Q 2027, but samples will be available mid-next year.

It will be a dual channel device with a Miller Clamp, and 5.3mm spacing between channels.

If you need something earlier, then the UCC21551 is an existing dual channel gate driver. You can improve Miller clamping by simply buffering the turn-off path of the output with a local PNP. A local PNP buffer will reduce both the turn-off resistance and inductance. If you can tolerate a very strong turn-off speed, this will also serve as a strong Miller clamp.

    Best regards,

    Sean
