LP5018: I2C related questions

Hi Expert,

My customer will use LP5018 but they have enough experiance to develop I2C communication. Could you please answer following questions? or Could you share good app note to expain all of questions?

1. Do we have any recommendation to masure I2C waveforms?

2. Does the paramater which has no min or max value mean no spec/limitation?

    Hi Kotaro,

    1. Do you mean measure the waveform? We use oscilloscope to capture the I2C waveform.

    2. Yes. For timing parameters 1~6, the high limit should be lower than the period for I2C since it is the timing parameter in one period. For example, I2C frequency is 100KHZ. these items should lower than 10us.

    Thanks. For1. They would like to know the tips to capture this. e.g. high impedance probe are recommended...

    Hi Kotaro,

    The frequency of 12C is not so fast (400khz max), high impedance Passive probe is good enough. if customer just want to check the logic of I2C communication, 20Mhz bandwidth is ok.
