Hi team,

My customer is using MC33063 for boost.

Q1: When they convert 5V to 12V and there is a output short issue , they use 165mohm shunt resistor, voltage on shunt resistor is 970mV(2.9A), but there is no OC issue. Why?

Q2: They convert 5V to -12V and there is a output short. Whey shunt resistor's voltage is up to 300mV, reaction is slow. And chip will be so hot, why?

Not sure if this is related, but if you check the application note slva252b[1], it mentions on pg. 3 under section "1.3 Current Limit":

"The minimum sense resistor is 0.2 Ω."

What do you mean "there is a output short issue"?

What is the waveform you are showing?
