In the part datasheet, it is mentioned that we do not recommend leaving the DT pin floating. So yes, there will be unexpected behaviors that result from doing so. If the dead time functionality is not wanted, you can connect the DT pin to VCCI to disable the feature.

I cannot provide more detail on the internals of the DT control circuitry. If the DT pin is left floating, the device will assert a dead time value that is likely going to be unpredictable and varies with temperature.
Again, we do not recommend leaving the DT pin floating, and doing so can result in abnormal behaviors. If the DT functionality is not needed, we recommend to connect the pin to VCC.
