I have made a design following the design instructions in LM7480 datasheet. It is meant for a 12V system and the aim is to pass ISO 7637-2 (Pulses 1,2,3) and ISO 16750-2 (Unsuppressed Load Dump).
When I test the prototype, I am seeing 6.8V on the output and it does not turn on until 13V. The output stays at 6.8V all the way to 30V on the input side. (From the design procedure, I would expect the output to be clamped at around 25V). Is there anything that immediately jumps up from the schematic? If not how can I diagnose the problem?
