HD3SS3220: Adaptation issues

Dear team,

I encountered some problems while debugging HD3SS3220IRNHR. Can you help me solve them?

1. Type-C cable 1+notebook 1+circuit board, can be powered on;
2. Comparison 1: After replacing the power supply of a laptop with Type-C cable 1+laptop 2+circuit board, the power cannot be taken off and the phenomenon of 5V cycling power on and off occurs;
3. Comparison 2: Changing the wire, Type-C wire 2+laptop 2+circuit board, can provide power;
4. Compared to 3, switching back to the original laptop with Type-C cable 2+laptop 1+circuit board allows for power supply;
Regarding the above four testing conditions, for some unknown reason, is it due to the up and down pull of CC1/CC2 by the computer or cable? We are concerned about the mismatch of customers' computers or cables in the later shipment.

    Can you provide the schematic for the HD3SS3220 you are using? What is the intended orientation, DFP, UFP, or DRP?

     schematic as below, the computer is powering my device, it should be UFP.

    Do you know if there are any differences in the type-C cables? I.E Is cable 1 an active cable, or are both cables passive type-C cables?

    Is it possible to monitor the CC pins in both setups and see if there is a difference in the CC orientation?

    Sorry for the delays, this thread got lost in E2E dashboards. This issue has been resolved, so it wont happen in the future.

    Regarding the schematics:

    1) What is the AC coupling status of these buses?

    2) Looks like the part is designed for UFP mode operation with limit of 5V 3A. In this case ID pin will not be used. It also looks like Vbus will be powering this part, this should be ok. It may be useful to use the OUTx pins to report a connection is made to the SoC, but if not need this si ok.

    3) Control signals here look ok.

    4) The capacitance on the output pins looks ok, but can you share the USB Type-C connector schematic as well?

    5) The TUSB211 is not recommended for new designs are we able to swap to TUSB211A?

    Do you have more visibility into where the pins in yellow pins go? The pins highlighted in green are ok.

    Regarding debugging.

    Can you share waveforms for the following scenarios?
