Hi,

Just wanted to know  for a single cell configuration, if the input voltage to the BQ2598 is 20V, will we get 5V (or near by) at the output i.e SYS pin?

Will the buck operation happen internally?

    Hi Mj,

    Regardless of input voltage, SYS is regulated to the MINSYS voltage (default=3.5V for 1S) and then it follows the battery voltage up to VREG (4.2V default for 1S) plus a few hundred mV.  MINSYS cannot be set higher than VREG.
