Hi,

Attached is the schematic. My requirement is to regulate 5.3 V down to 5 V. The datasheet specifies an input voltage range of 1.7 V to 5.7 V, but it does not provide a derating curve for input voltage.

Could you please clarify how to account for derating of the input voltage in this case?

    Hey Misba,

    There is no specific input voltage derating for this LDO. As long as you operate within the recommended input voltage range provided in the datasheet (in this case, 1.7 V to 5.7 V), the regulator is expected to function normally.

    The only limitation would be thermals caused by heat dissipation but there's no risk at your specified conditions.
