I am designing a standalone battery charger for 8 LifePo4 6000mAH Cells in parallel. I do not need any other features. The BQ24620 does not work because the safety timer is not long enough. Can I disable all the extra features of the BQ24630 by connecting ACN and ACP directly to VIN and leaving BATDRV floating? What other functions and features can be disabled to reduce cost and gain simplicity.
