LM27762: Max output Capacitance

HI there,

What is the max output capacitance that the LM27762 can have on its outputs? Customer is looking at use 250uF (that he needs for bulk capacitance - not sure why that much).

Datasheet states control loop stability is effected by Cout so I would imagine no....But wanted to ask. Thanks!

    Hello,

    250uF will be too high for LM27762.

    Please try to understand the application challenges of your customer.

    Please also ask them to make an estimate of the total effective output capacitance. One way would be to place it far from the IC and close to the load and thereby reduce the effective capacitance.
