UCC28180: 3phase UCC28180 use

You will not be able to successfully improve your Power Factor when you use a single UCC28180 for a 3-phase rectification. Power Factor Correction (PFC) requires tracking the input AC voltage so that the output current matches the input AC voltage as close as possible. Otherwise, you will have high Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). In a 3-phase rectification, the UCC28180 will not know which AC input to track, and thus will have low performance.

Instead, you will need to have 3 separate UCC28180 for each of the 3 AC phases. Then, after each phase has been rectified and converted to DC, you can connect the outputs together. That is the only way to work with an analog PFC controller.

Your alternative would be to use a dedicated 3-phase rectifier. However, they use digital controllers like the C2000. An example is the TIDM-1000.
