UC3844A: Maximum switching frequency

Can I use UC3844A for 250kHz to 300kHz switching frequency Flyback converter application? What precautions I need to take to drive Si FET at this frequency with UC3844A? What can be the implication/drawbacks?

    Hi,

    The maximum oscillator frequency of this family is 500 kHz. The datasheet also mentions that the output frequency equals oscillator frequency for the UCx842A and UCx843A. Whereas, output frequency is one half oscillator frequency for the UCx844A and UCx845A

    So, if you are using UC3844A, the maximum switching frequency is 250 kHz (500 kHz/2).

    If you would like to operate at 300 kHz switching frequency, please consider UCx842A and UCx843A devices, as output frequency equals oscillator frequency for these two devices.
