TPIC6B595: 2022 Design Change

Part Number: TPIC6B595

Tool/software:

Hi TI-Team,

Bob and Hailee mentioned a design change by TI in 2022 here. Unfortunately, I can't find any information on that. We're currently facing a similar problem like he did 4 months ago. A product of ours, currently 15+ years on the market, starts showing unusual behavior and I was wondering whether this could be linked to any product changes?

Best regards,

Lukas

  • Hi Lukas,

What do you mean "unusual behavior"? Please provide more details. is it related to the different samples? Thanks!

  • Hi Hailee,

I'm using several shift registers in series to drive an array of relays directly at the shift registers outputs. Without any layout, firmware or parts changed we observe some false-switching under specific conditions since a couple of years now. This hasn't been the case before. Since the board is very simple and consists of very few parts only, I just want to rule out that any changes have been made on any of the parts before investigating further. So could you please provide me with a change note regarding the design change in 2022?

    Best regards,

    Lukas

  • Hi Lukas,
