TPS730: Noise countermeasures for the new chip

Part Number: TPS730
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS7A20

Tool/software:

Hi support team,
I have a question about noise countermeasures for the new chip of the TPS73001DBVR.

Are there any devices that are pin-compatible with the TPS73001DBVR and have lower noise and adjustable output?
If not, is adjusting the CFF on the new chip of the TPS73001DBVR the only solution?

Regards,
Dice-K

  • Hi Dice,

TPS73001DBVR is one of the few LDOs in our portfolio in SOT-23 6-pin package. So, we do not have a lower noise alternative that is P2P, hence one good option would definitely be with a CFF for better noise. Another alternative could be with one of our fixed output lower noise LDOs, such as TPS7A20, which offers many output voltage options.

Do you have a target noise spec in mind and a key frequency range?

    Regards,

    Andres
