I have a BQ76942EVM and I am trying to talk to it using external SPI. I can connect using BQStudio, change the configuration to SPI, relaunch BQStudio, and it connects using the SPI protocol. When I try and connect using external SPI via J18, MISO is always low. I have 36 volts applied across the cells, I have verified REG1 to be 3.3, REG18 is 1.8.
For BQStudio:
J7 is connected
J10 is connected on pins 1-2
J12 is connected on pins 1-2
J15 is connected on pins 1-2
For External I change the jumpers as follows (no power cycle of the EVM):
J7 is remains connected
J10 is connected on pins 2-3
J12 is connected on pins 2-3
J15 is connected on pins 2-3
I have tried various combinations but bets I can tell, what is above should work. Thanks for any help you can provide.
