Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO
Hello TI team,
We’re designing an 11S3P automotive pack and evaluating the bq41z90 for gauging/monitoring. A couple of questions:
-
ChemID support. Our pack uses Toshiba SCiB (LTO) cells. I don’t see an SCiB/LTO ChemID under the Chemistry tab for bq41z90 in bqStudio. I know SCiB ChemIDs exist for other TI gauges. Does bq41z90 support SCiB/LTO ChemIDs and, if not, what’s the recommended ChemID to start with or the process to request one for this device?
-
Low-voltage operation. Are there device-level restrictions for very low per-cell voltage? In a worst-case, each cell could be fully discahrged below ~1.0 V (pack ≈10 V for 11S). Will bq41z90 remain operational and provide reliable measurements in that condition, or are there minimum cell/pack voltage limits we should observe?
Thank you!
