TPS61169: Appropriate for 4 parallel LEDs?

I am working with a TFT display that requires an anode and one cathode connection for 4 parallel internal white LEDs for backlighting. The TPS61169 looks like it is intended for serial LEDs. Is there any reason I should not use this part for my situation?

Hi,

what's the LED config here? and what's the end equipment?

TPS61169 is with 2.7V-5.5V input voltage and max to 38V output, and another solution is tps61165 with 3-18V input voltgae.

by the way, what's your lcd bias solution here?

Thank you for your reply. Perhaps the best way for you to see the application is to look at the data sheet for the LCD display we are planning to use. The information on the backlight characteristics if found on page 4.AFY240320A1-2.4INTH-spec.pdf

I purchased the TPS61169 EVM and modified it to connect to my display. The results are what I expected so I will use this part. The datasheet does mention it is designed for both parallel and series LEDs.
