TPS55289EVM: USB2ANY Stops Working when using python / pyvisa

I'm able to connect to the EVM with the gui but as soon as I launch the python script with pyvisa talking to a BK Precision Active load over USB The gui indicated it's lost connection to the EVM and the TPS55289 Buck-Boost output goes away.
