BQ25750: About the Reverse Mode Control of the BQ25750

Hello,
Could you please explain the reverse mode operation of the BQ25750?
I would like to use the reverse mode continuously to supply power to my device when the system is not charging.
The supply voltage will be around 28 V / 1.5 A.
Would there be any problem with this configuration?

Hello Takayuki,

In reverse mode, the DC-DC converter draws power from the battery to supply the system. The BATFETs and ACFETs are OFF in reverse mode.

The BQ25750 can supply a 1.5A system load at 28V from a battery. There should be no problem with this configuration.

What will be the battery voltage of the system?

Thank you. We always use reverse mode. The battery voltage is around 24 to 26 volts. Best regards.

Thanks for letting me know.

The BQ25750 should work for the system.

We also have the BQ25690 which came out recently. This may also work for your system. The BQ25690 works at lower voltages and currents, but it is cheaper than the BQ25750.
