Hello,
I’m currently designing a LED backlight driver for an LCD panel using the TPS61165, and I would appreciate your help reviewing both my schematic and PCB layout.
Here are the main parameters of the LCD backlight:
- Input voltage: 6 V to 8.4 V from li-ion battery
- Output voltage (LED string): 16.8V to 19.6V

- LED current: Typical 20 mA/Max 40mA
- PWM dimming control: From MCU GPIO, 6.5kHz PWM, 3.3 V

I would like to confirm the following points:
- Whether the schematic correctly implements the recommended design from the datasheet for this configuration.
- If the layout properly respects high-current paths and critical component placement (inductor, diode, sense resistor, and input/output capacitors).
- Any general recommendations for optimizing EMI and stability.
Thank you very much for your time and support!
Best regards,
Thomas.
