LM5158: Flyback converter primary current

Part Number: LM5158
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5157

Dear TI,

I used the Webench software to create a design for an isolated flyback converter. The IC used is LM5158RTER. The design converts unregulated nominal 24V input voltage (min..max 16V..28V) into regulated 42V. Max output current at 42V is 500mA.

Here is a link to the design:

My questions are:

  1. The suggested transformer model is Würth Elektronik Flex 749196341. It has 6 identical windings. How should they be connected?
  2. The Würth transformer is rather expensive. Would this design work with a Pulse PA1366 transformer [1] instead, for a more economical choice?
  3. Is it possible to power the LM5158 via the input instead of aux winding?
  4. Operating value "T1 Iprim pk" is 4.36A vs. 749196341 I_SatBase rating of 1.33A. Will this cause trouble?

Thanks in advance.
