Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25616, BQ25185, BQ25308
I have been considering using the BQ25123 charge management IC for its power path management, charging capabilities for a lithium-ion cell, low power states and for the most part, standalone operation. My main issue however, is that not all of the parameters are RC settable - some must be programmed by an external device. My application requires a device that can have all of its power protection and charging parameters set on startup without a host MCU.
For clarity, my application is for a single lithium ion cell and I require the lowest quiescent current possible. The design must work without a host so the programming must be through RC-set pins or preset out of the factory. My charging votage is 4.1V and my maxmimum charge current 25mA. The source of my charging is a nominally 10.8V battery.
Thanks in advance for the help.
