Hello Experts,

I am trying to design a balanced charger for a 6000mAh 4S LiPo based on TIDA-050047. 
For balancing I want to use the BQ77915. Is there a possibility to use only the Balancing function of the IC without the other protection features and without the charge and discharge fets. If so, is there a possibility to provide an example schematics for that?

    Hello,

    thank you so much for opening this inquiry. 

    I want to use TIDA-050047 as it is and I just want to add passive balancing with external fets using the BQ77915. 
    The balancing should be autonomous without any host microcontroller needed. Thats why I chose the BQ77915. 
    The other protection features of the IC aren't needed in my design, so I am wondering if I can use the IC without them. 
    Also, if there is another balancing IC for autonomous balancing, that is suited better for my application, feel free to suggest it.
