TPSM861257: EMC test results for the power module

Dear TI Team,

We are developing a new product related to electric vehicles (EVs) and are evaluating compact 5V DC-DC buck converter modules. During our search, we identified the TPSM861257RDXR as a strong candidate . It meets our requirements in terms of performance, size, and cost.

However, while reviewing the datasheet, we noticed that EMC test results or compliance information are not mentioned. Some competitors, such as Würth (e.g., part number 171011801), explicitly provide this data, although at a higher cost for thier modules.

Could you please confirm whether the price difference is related to additional EMC testing and certification performed by these competitors, or if TI can provide equivalent EMC test data for the TPSM861257RDXR?

Hello Faris

Most of the TI converter and module datasheets do not mention the EMI/EMC data. However, almost all modules are optimized for EMII/EMC performance.

Usually, the additional price difference is not related to the EMC testing.

If you need EMI/EMC test data for the TI part, let me know the test conditions and we will try to get the data.

Thank you for your reply. Would be great if you can provide us with the results of the conducted emissions and radiated emissions of the module.

Let's have the test conditions with 12 VDC input and 5 VDC output at 1A load. to have a clear comparison with some competitors.
