Dear TI Team,

I am planning to use TPS53667 + power stage solution in my design for the generating the below requirements. I have seen the CSD95490Q5MC recommend to use in the TPS53667 datasheet and EVM. But CSD95490Q5MC is showing NRND in TI site and CSD95410RRB is showing as the alternate part. But this part is currently under NDA and the sales team updated me that they cant proceed with the creation of NDA now as they dont have anyone covering our company.

Could you please suggest an alternate power stage and also please share how many power stages required in our design to meet the requirements?

Desing requirements:
Input voltage: 12V
Output voltage: 0.75V +/-5%
Output current: 40A DC RMS, 60A PEAK

Product EOL: 2030

Thanks for your reply.

Similar to the CSD95410RRB, the part you suggested (CSD95420) also required NDA and the TI sales team already confirmed that they can´t proceed with the NDA as no person is covering our company now.

Could you please suggest a suitable power stage IC which can be interfaced with the TPS53667? Please consider my requirements which is already shared in my problem statement.

Hi Shyam,

After speaking with our marketing team, I have confirmed that 420 does not need an NDA. The highest current part that requires no NDA is CSD96497. This has already been shared with you by our marketing team via email.

Hi Maha,

Yes, I received the CSD96497Q5MC part datasheet from the TI marketing team.

Could you please let me know whether I can continue with TPS53667 + CSD96497Q5MC (2 stages) for our requirements as this CSD96497 has the current capability of 30A.

And there is a change in the design requirements(highlighted) compared to the initial query. It is as follows:

Design requirements:
Input voltage: 12V
Output voltage: 0.75V +/-5%
Output current: 50A DC RMS, 60A PEAK

Product EOL: 2030

Hi Maha,

I can see the voltage VID is mentioned as the output voltage in the datasheet and there is an another voltage VBOOT is also there. Could you please help me to understand what will be the VBOOT voltage if my required output voltage is 0.75V?

Also please share the design tool excel sheet for the further parameter calculations.

Hi Maha,

Thanks for sharing the excel tool.

I have updated the excel tool with our requirements and also tried to check at the webench power designer tool. But I have seen some of the resistor values are different comparing the excel tool and the power designer tool.

Could you please guide me which tool I need to follow to finalise the component values?

I would recommend using the Webench values as those are the most up to date.

Hi Maha,

Do we need to set anything at the register level to make sure the below requirements?

DC ripple SPEC = +/- 3%
Transient SPEC = +/- 5%

RAMP can be tuned to achieve DC ripple and transient spec.
