TPS7A4701-EP: accuracy vs Vout select choice

Part Number: TPS7A4701-EP

using TPS7A4701RG and TPS7A3301RG to design +/-11V supplies.

I could use the R1/R2 resistor divider option or the Vout select pins (grounding) option.

Is there a difference in accuracy or behaviour between the two choices?

I'd probably use 1% resistors if using the divider option.

  • Hi Barry,

As long as you use resistors that are good enough (1% should be sufficient), there is not a significant difference in accuracy. Using the anyout select pins may be slightly more accurate because they should be well matched with the resistor values that are trimmed to ensure reference accuracy, compared to external feedback resistors that may provide a few more possible sources of variation.
