The absolute maximum rating: The maximum for each channel is 500mA, and the maximum for the total is 2.5A. Is this correct?

Hi Mayumi-san,

That's correct, the maximum peak current through each channel should not exceed 500mA. However, due to thermal limitations the steady-state current should not exceed the limits in Figure 5-5 or else the recommended Tj will be violated.
