Does TPSI3052-Q1 or TPSI31XX-Q1 family have a max operating frequency limitation?

    Thanks for reaching out to E2E and also email. I replied over email, but sending a reply here as well for future reference.

    There are two factors limiting switching frequency: 

    1. Power transfer/gate charge
    2. EN period

    Typically TPSI3xxx switching frequency will be limited by the MOSFET/IGBT gate charge since the TPSI3xxx transfers a fixed amount of power. We can calculate this using:

    POUT_VDDH / VDDH_UV_F / Qg

    So using TPSI31xx as example with 50 nC MOSFET total gate charge, 55 mW / 11.5 V / 50 nC = 95.6 kHz.

    The other factor limiting EN Fsw is EN period, tPER_EN = 10 us minimum. So 100 kHz here.
