TPS61379-Q1: NO Output with TPS61379-Q1

Part Number: TPS61379-Q1

Hi There,

I am using TPS61379-Q1 chip to boost the voltage from 10V input to 12V and the load current 50mA. After providing the input 10V, same is present on SW as well as on OUT pin, there does not seem to be any switching on the SW pin. On VO pin there is no output, also all the values are being measured on the no load condition. Below listed is the values of components used in design.

  1. Inductor - 1uH (TFM252012ALMA1R0MTAA - TDK) same part as recommended in datasheet.
  2. VO Pin - RU-> 1.13M, RD ->80.6k (connected to FB pin)
  3. Cap at BST pin - 100nF
  4. EN pin - 3V fed to enable.
  5. FREQ pin - 18.2k for ~2.2Mhz
  6. MODE - left floating
  7. COMP pin - 56.2k with 15nF as recommended in webench
  8. OUT - 1uF
  9. VCC - 1uF
  10. PG - 100k pulled up to VCC
  11. Input cap - 10uF, Output Cap - 4.7uF

Please suggest, what could be the solution.

Thanks in Advance.

  • Hi Kirty,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Your parameters seems no problem.

There looks no switching, and the device could be shutdown.

Could you double check the VIN pin voltage and EN voltage?

The two pins enable the device.

Can you also show more details like schematic, layout and setup for debug?

    Best Regards,

    Fergus
