Hi Team,

We have used TLV7103318QDSERQ1 for SD card supply for our board, during the prototype phase the board was working with SD card booting. After some 100 board production we faced the issue that showing 1.1V instead of 1.8V on the out put side. could you please check and share what could be the reason for the same?

Hi Deepak,

The most likely cause for this would be either excessive load current or a short circuit to another supply rail.

Is the output voltage a consistent 1.1V, regardless of the states of EN1 and EN2, or does it change?

Have you performed an ABA swap? If not, swap U16 for a new TLV7103318, and re-test. Then swap the original device back in. This would help confirm whether the device itself is damaged or if the issue is elsewhere in the design.

Thanks Alex for the Response,

I have swapped with new TLV7103318 and its working, i never tried to put back the damaged one and test. This swapping did almost 4 to 5 boards and after its working. I strongly believe that this could be a device damage but i am not sure how it got damaged. Could you help me to find the root cause of this damage? Here below is the full schematics for your reference.

Does VDDSHV_SDIO route to an off-board connector? If so, could ESD be responsible?

Hi Alex,

Yes its going to a SD Card connector J26, and SoC power rail VDDSHV5. here below is the screen shot. and we provided ESD diode for all the attached line's on SD card connector.
