Hello,

I had a question about the design energy parameter for the BQ34Z100-R2 fuel gauge. We are using it for a 14S1P configuration with a nominal pack voltage of 51.8V, or 3.7V nominal per cell. Which value do I use when calculating the design energy?

Also, the current scale on the gauge is set to 10. Do I use the unscaled design capacity or the scaled design capacity when calculating design energy?

Hi,

Design Capacity = [(capacity of a single cell)*(# of cells in parallel)]/Curr Scale

Design Voltage = (Voltage of a single cell)/Volt scale

Design Energy = [(Design Capacity)*(Design Voltage)]/Energy Scale
