BQ41Z90: EV2400 + BQ41Z90 Connection

Hi Team,

I need your help on the following request:

There is no acknowledgment with the EV2400 (in I2C or SMBUS) and BQ41Z90.

I attach a picture with this connexions: 

I use 16 resistors for sim the cells (220 ohms), a power supply in BAT+/BAT- (58V), a wire between BAT+ and parallel (J45), and a power supply in J47 (PACK+/PACK-)

Usually we have never problem with TI eval board.

 

I hope your reply as soon as possible, we are blocked.

    Please send me an email if things become urgent.

    The issue is most likely that you need FW. Please follow the steps below.

    1) Remove all jumpers on J42

    2) Remove all resistor from the cell terminal blocks J1, J8 and J9

    3) populate a wire on J45 for the parallel path

    4) Populate J2 (already done)

    5) connect the EV2400 smbus port to J11 on the EVM

    6) apply ~10V across bat+/Bat-

    7) force open the BQ41z90.bqz

    8) go to the advanced comms tab and send 0x0F00 to 00, it should be green

    9) Try to program the FW I have attached.

    10) restart BQstudio, your device should now auto detect
