TPSM365R1: Maximum output voltage unclear from datasheet

thank you very much for the information. So the parameter "Absolute Maximum Rating" in the data sheet is incorrect? Normally, for our internal reviews, we must check that all parameters are within datasheet specification. This is not possible in this case. Can you tell me the "real" Absolute Maximum Rating?

Yes, this is correct. If you size your resistor 150kΩ and 10kΩ, it should give you 16V output as the datasheets says.

thank you for your comments. I agree, that with the nominal resistance values I will get a nominal output voltage of 16V.

However, if I take into account the tolerance of the resistors (here 1%), and also the tolerance of TPSM365R1's VREF, I get a maximum possible value of 16.466V.

But Absolute Maximum Rating for VOUT to GND is defined as 16V in the datasheet, so an output voltage of 16.466V would not be allowed.

How should we deal with this discrepance?

Hi Tino, 

I think you'll probably have to used a different device. After checking the datasheet i think it would be safer to only go till 15V Vout for this device, so 16V won't be good.
