Hi,

We are using the BQ25601 battery charger IC in one of our projects. The device does not include an ADC for reading the battery voltage. We would like to know if there is a way to notify the processor—via an interrupt or a status signal when the battery voltage reaches a predefined threshold, without using an external ADC

Hello Anushree,

REG0x08 CRHG_STAT will let you know if the battery is not charging, in pre-charge, fast charging, or in charger termination. An interrupt will be sent out upon charge termination. The STAT pin also changes behavior based on the charge status.

Thanks for your response.

I wanted know if there is anyway we can indicate the processor when battery is about to drain before device completely shutdown if ADC is not available.

Hi Anushree,

We do not have a built in ADC. External battery voltage measurement or gauge is required.
