Hello, we are looking for convertor which will convert Vin-5V to VOUT >=8V.

Application :

Vin- 5V from LDO

We are using DRV8161 half bridge driver with CSD18543Q3A FET for HS and LS .

For this driver we required 8V to 20V Gate driver power supply input.

Please check if LM2665 will suitable for this.

Or suggest if you have any other convertor for same application.

Hello Pranjali,

You can not use LM2665 as you would need a converter that has a voltage level of at least 13V.

You can use any boost converter with an input voltage of at least 5V and an output voltage of more than 13V. Then you connect the GND of the boost converter to -5V and regulate the output voltage to 13V (5V+8V).

Hello Pranjali,

Then you can use any converter that is able to create 8V on the output. LM2665 could be used for this as long as low output current is needed.

Hello Pranjali,

The device is doubling the input voltage. You can see in Figure 5 the voltage drop away from doubling the input voltage dependent on the output current.

So the tolerance is dependent on the input voltage tolerance and the amount of current drawn.
